In addition to being a 12-year Licensed Massage Practitioner, I am formerly a Certified USA Triathlon Level II Coach.  Historically, I had inspirational opportunities and experiences to work with Pacific Northwest regional junior, age-group, champions and Olympic hopefuls 1999-2004 to reach their potentials.  Throughout my years of fitness consultation, community service, and instruction, I have helped many beginners get comfortable in their own skin by giving them tools to develop their movement skills.  Today, I teach and demonstrate to my patients the importance of properly executed movement form for everyday freedom of movement, athletic enjoyment, injury prevention and rehabilitation.  In essence, well-practiced skill development translates to more efficient movement and quicker neuromuscular reflexes.  My own athletic background includes more than 35 combined years of training in modern dance, aerobic dance, yoga, martial arts, summer and winter biathlon, duathlon and triathlon.

I have been fortunate to have rich life experiences as:  former National Park Service Ranger involved in emergency support and leadership of fire, medical and rescue; community volunteer and world travel.  I enjoy fly fishing, theater arts, calligraphy, Japanese and Chinese teas.  Currently, I am a first year student of Five Element Acupuncture & Psychology.  I am looking forward to incorporating Five Element philosophies into my practice by providing acupuncture in the future.

Wendy’s knowledge of the intricacies of the body proved to be instrumental in guiding me toward a greater understanding and implementation of a program of effective Body Balancing stretches and soft tissue release techniques.  This program strongly complimented the mechanical adjustments of bike fitting. With Wendy’s enthusiastic assistance fitting our clients, we successfully documented strong percentage gains in kilojoules and wattage often with decreases in heart rate.  For a competitive cyclist or triathlete, this is the highest level of performance enhancement obtainable.”
